Baklava Bellydance began as an informal get together of dancers and drummer to practice and improve technique. It quickly became obvious that we were all like-minded in our drive to challenge ourselves, be creative and have fun with our performing, and Baklava Bellydance was born. We have all performed for several years with other troupes, dancers and musicians along the Gulf Coast.

Our mission is to provide the Gulf Coast with quality Middle Eastern dancing and drumming. We aim to put on a great show for our audience, to constantly challenge ourselves to keep the routines fresh, and never, ever forget to have fun.

Our performance and teaching are inspired by several different styles of dance and music including classical Egyptian, American cabaret belly dance, and American Tribal Fusion along with Asian and Indian influences.
